Cube Optics was founded in the year 2000 based on the idea to create the smallest passive optical multiplexer in the world – with success. Since then, many years have gone by, and technologies and products have changed along with them.
However, one thing has remained the same since the company was founded; although we always have a lot to do, we tend to make sure we keep it fun and we usually do it differently to other companies. Whether it's an Irish pub quiz night, git-up dance challenge or board game night to end the working day – there's something for everyone.
The roles at Cube Optics could not be more diverse. However, each one is an important part of our company and thus of our joint success. We could probably fill several pages with the description of the different roles but that probably would be going too far. Instead, we have selected a few and briefly described them which should give you a good idea.
The requirements of our customers for the optical components basically always are pushing the boundaries of what is possible. The component development team takes on this exciting and challenging task.
Our customer service team takes care of incoming orders, order processing, shipping arrangements, customs and RMAs. They also are the heart and soul of our company events.
We cannot sell products without production. Whether it's the production of optical components in the clean room or system products in modular construction, production is a central building block for our success.
There are no standard manufacturing processes for our products. The Production Engineering team not only develops new processes but often also new tools. In addition, Production Engineering is responsible for ensuring that production runs reliably in day to day business.
The Project Consultants are our experts for the customer projects that require a great deal of application knowledge. They develop solutions ranging from individual products to entire network designs.
Product management is the link between customers and development. The biggest challenge is to find the balance between customer requirements/wishes, technical feasibility and cost.
I joined CUBO for the Customer Service Team in 2014. What I appreciated right from the start is the solidarity which leads to our great teamwork. You can feel the spirit in every space, each room, each group. This is what makes us successful and allows us to achieve our goals as one team easily. Now and tomorrow.
My professional experience was very well received when I started at CUBO in 2014. Thanks to internal trainings, I am now at home in a wide variety of work processes, which makes my job very interesting and varied.
The atmosphere among colleagues is great! Yes, the work at times is challenging but we still have a lot of fun together.
I joined CUBO when the company was still relatively small. Since then the company has grown significantly and a lot obviously has changed. But still, it feels like a family. I like that. As a team, everyone is encouraged to contribute. This not only keeps us innovative and flexible but also helps us continue to achieve the good results.
First thing which comes into my mind about CUBO is the openness and our flat hierarchy. It feels good to be heard and that my feedback and suggestions are valued. I really enjoy bringing my talents as goldsmith into the individual processes. After all these years I am still fascinated by the leading edge technology we do here at CUBO.
We are looking for university graduates, young professionals and specialists alike, and we are always happy to receive unsolicited applications.
In addition to the necessary skills, which can be found in the respective descriptions of our open positions, we are looking for employees who are willing to show full commitment, do not give up when something does not go according to plan and want to celebrate success together with their colleagues after cracking a tough nut. In short – employees who fit us and vice versa. Let's find out!
Cube Optics has a lot to offer as an employer. From the classic to the extraordinary benefits. The most important benefit of all – the team spirit – cannot be described but only experienced. But still, here are a few of the highlights.
